Vintage Pink Sewing Machine - What's not to love?

I love my local Teen Challenge Thrift Store. I really like the program it supports as well as the treasures I can find there.

Recently I brought home this *PINK* Atlas Sewing Machine.

I bought it simply because it was pink and old!

Of course they gave me a deal because we didn't know if it worked.

I cleaned it up, figured out how to thread the machine... and Voila! It works beautifully.

It looks lovely too.

  3. Super find !!!! What a treasure - I'm glad you found it and have room for it ... that's always a consideration when I see great stuff. If the sewing machine could think, I'm sure it would be glad you "rescued" it.

  4. Love the fact that you and Annalia used it to create a cute stuffed animal or whatever that was..:)

  5. Heehee - I don't REALLY have room for it, but that's okay, we'll make a spot -- it weighs a TON, though -- solid machine. I like to think we rescued it, too. :)

  8. I have that same machine! It is wonderful isn't it?! I actually haven't tried mine. It's still out in the garage. I was planning on reselling it because there just isn't room but you do have me thinking...

  9. Jill, I originally thought I'd sell mine too, but then I cleaned it up and sort of fell in love ;) so I guess it's a keeper!
